Another succesful event shared by Cagayan de Oro Expatriates Community and their ladies was the International Night hosted by the Local Chief Executive. i was asked to give a short message in behalf of my fellow wives and their fiancées.
To those who were not with us, here’s part of my message. I posted it here to re affirmed that I am a proud Filipino and and a better one because of my husband, an American national.
Two years ago, I had boldly posted in some expatriates related websites, that we are the most organized expatriates community in the country. Now, in the presence of our local authorities and friends, let me reaffirmed such statement! CDO Expats Community is the most highly organized Expatriates in the country!
To further prove such claim, we, their ladies, organized among ourselves and for the first time again, we become the very first government recognized expatriates’ ladies organization in Mindanao. It could be in the country, but I will not go that far….
Most of us are also members of other organizations but ELCI is unique and special in a sense that here, we could make our husbands involved with all our projects and activitie, of course, they are financing it! But still, we their ladies will say, we are doing this for you guys! You know that we became who we are now because of the love you have given us and we truly value and cherish them!
Lastly, as a concrete example of what I am talking about, let me take this opprotunity to acknowledge a talented fellow Filipina, Agnesdale Black, who for the past years have been donating her paintings to a Belgium based John Pelssers Asthma Foundation as a part of their fund raising project. After going with us in the “Lapis at Papel Para Kay Kuya at Ate” project, Agnes will be giving away her paintings to Expats’ Ladies Charities ( those are the paintings) you have seen outside this ball room. The proceeds of these paintings will help us in our coming Christmas Party for the less fortunate children of Cagayan de Oro, just as what we done in Landfill, Carmen with more than 200 children last year. This time we become more ambitious are targetting 2000 children for the 5 five barangays of Cagayan de Oro
May our Almighty God Help us, as we bring back all the GLORY to HIM!
