        Hi Daisy,
Thanks so very much for taking me with all your dear expat friends to Bethany and the luch afterward was delightful! I’m inquiring about photos that were taken during out tour. There’s one photo in particular I was hoping for as I had noticed a couple people taking photos when a boy was inquizitively tugging at my nose. This is a dear memory for me and can help show a darling expression of our physcial differences. Also, I have some photos to share too…Where would you like me to send them?
        Many Blessings,
        Anne

    Hello Daisy,
It’s liberating to find out that a fellow Kagay-anon care so much about helping others. I salute your efforts & that of your group.
I am a mother who is looking to do a small outreach- giving school supplies to about 50 kids in a poor elementary school. I just don’t have the right contacts to pursue my intentions. I was hoping you will be able to direct me to the right people. What I had in mind was to hand out school supplies to children in need. And to ensure that they go to school, I was hoping to be able to consolidate with someone from that poor elementary school so that I with the company of my daughter & husband can hand it out ourselves. Please understand that I do not intend to make any monetary donations. Rather, I am looking to start a family tradition and witness my daughter experience the gratification that comes with sharing our blessings.
I hope for your reply soon.
Thank you and I wish you and your organization the best! Keep up the good work! I’m sure you all are making HIM proud!

      Hi Ethel!

Praise God you found our blog. You are most welcome to join us in any way most comfortable for you. I will let you know when and what school will be our beneficiary and you can come with us. The happier the children will be, is much more fulfilling for all of us! In fact even in our feeding project we are encouraging mothers to bring their children and we let them serve the children with the food we will be bringing every Monday!
You’re welcome to join also if you are in PI.
Again thank you and hope to see you soon.

      • Ethel

Thank you for your quick reply, Daisy and for your warm invitation to join your group but instead of joining, do you think there are other possible options for me? May I get contact information instead for one of the schools you’ve served so I can set-up a separate 1-time project with their students?

    Hello!
Keep up the great work ladies, what a neat organization. I was pleased to see you had visited the Bethany Christian Home for Children. I lived there for 5 years before I was adopted by two American missionaries in 1980. I would love to go back to visit Cagayan with my husband some day. Let me know if your group plans to go back.

    Kind Regards and God Bless!

    Wanda Swenson

    Hello Wanda!

Yes, one of our Annual project is a visit to Bethany Christian Home for Children in Talakag, Bukidnon. ELCI would be happy to meet you and your husband and me too personally in the future.

We will be visiting there very, very soon, May 5, 2011 and spend few hours with the children there. This will be our third visit although we make it a point to include the children in the Home in whatever project we have, like School Supplies for Children and the Christmas Party and Gift Giving, through one of our fellow ELCI, Marilou Cunningham.

Thank you very much for your comment and visit in our blog.

    Hi Ladies,
Impressive array of accomplishments you are doing for charity. I wish to invite you for training on Aquaponics – that is growing fish and vegetables in your backyard. This would be ideal program to propagate – that is, teaching how to fish rather than giving fish. I have a demo-unit in my backyard. We are here in Lapu-lapu Cebu and should you decide to pay us a visit please let me know. Thank you in advance and best regards,

    Joel Vasquez

Thank you Mr Joel…..we will consider this if our our bosses (our husbands) will allow us and will give us the needed expenses for it. Yes, I will mention this during our meeting….a good reason to go to Cebu and meet some of our sponsors there…:-) !!!!
